Altona, including Altona North and Altona Meadows extends from Williamstown to Sanctuary Lakes in Melbourne’s West. Often reglected, Altona has much potential.
Williamstown is the Toorak or Essendon of the West and Sanctuary Lakes is Melbourne’s masterplanned community benchmark, complete with a Greg Norman designed golf course. Altona is seen as often too industrial – which is exactly why we like it. Altona North kicks of proceedings with Altona Lakes Public Golf Course and the Altona North Shopping Rectanlge of Millers Road, Ross Road, Chambers Road and Cabot Drive.
Altona train station is in the middle of the Pier Street Shopping precinct which leads down to Logan Reserve and Altona Lifesavinf Club and Beach and Pier. Altona’s Esplanade has some serious homes on it which meanders past Kooringal Golf Club and leads into Altona Meadows which is surrounded by Truganina Park, the Altona Foreshore Reserve and Cheetham Wetlands.
Altona, Altona North and Altona Meadows are under-dogs, why are they hot spot considerations? This is Australia, who doesn’t back the under-dog?
