High Street extends North from Preston to Reservoir. Reservoir’s High Street, Spring Street and Boradway are packed side by side with food and beveridge offerings including day to day amenity outlets such as banks, pharmacys, supermarkets and did we mention lots of delicious food options. Reservoir train station is pretty much smack in the middle of all of action with Ruthven Train Station further North servicing the suburb.
Reservoir’s population is similar to Glenroy or Hadfield, second and third generation families and new comers just discovering how much Reservoir has to offer.
Edwards Lake Park and Edgars Creek Wetlands provide a green oasis away from the village and JC Donath Reserve and IQ Dole Reserve provide sporting grounds for the number of schools in the area including Maharishi School, Reservoir Primary School, Northern School for Autism, St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School and William Ruthven Secondary College.
To the East just outside Reservoir’s boundary is La Trobe University Melbourne Campus. Reservoir, similarily to Preston is going through a gentrification however, it still seems to remember where it came from and is humbly growing. Another wonderful hot spot consideration to purchase a townhouse to live in or invest.
